Welcome back! Not as many pictures today, we're just touring the upstairs of the new house. The upper floor is all about the kids: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a play area. The master suite is on the main floor, one of the reason I'm so in love with this floor plan.
Crazy kids? Just send 'em upstairs!
At the top of the stairs, to the right, is the play area, but I need to come up with a cooler name for this room. Maybe "The Zoo."
I have a lot of interesting ideas for this area!
|The corner closet is for storage of toys and games.|
They will have a TV, Wii, DVD player, etc., sofa, papasan, coffee table, toys & games in the storage closet, and a craft area.
Ella chose the blue room.
|This picture shows the true color of the trim throughout the house. Not white, but ivory, especially against the white ceiling. This makes me a little crazy. Not sure how long I can go with off-white base board and crown, when I'm a pure white gal.|
Natalie chose the pink room. She likes the pink walls with the black and white curtains.
These room connect through a jack-n-jill (jill-n-jill in this case) bathroom. But they each have their own sink, which is cute. They share the shower and toilet.
Owen has his own room AND his very own bathroom. He shall now be called Prince Owen or Sir Owen. No, not really. No six year-old boy needs his own bathroom, but he has one by virtue of luck.
That's what's going on in the "fun zone?"
Do we like "fun zone?"
I'm open to suggestions.
Otherwise it will always be known as "upstairs" and it's more exciting than that.
Wait - is it weird that I feel like I need to name the kid area?
Tomorrow will conclude the house tour with the basement and back yard. And I'm sure we'll be all unpacked and completely organized by then.
