I was so happy to attend the Country Living Fair yesterday in Columbus, Ohio. What a beautiful afternoon to celebrate antiques and handmade wares. Blue skies and fluffy, white clouds, all day long. I brought my middle kid with me. She's almost ten, so she had no real pressing plans for the day, and she still enjoys an afternoon with her Mom.
I am an avid reader and a life-long fan of this publication, thanks to parents who read it in the 1970's and 1980's. I never thought I would attend one of the fairs that you see advertised in the pages of the magazine, but I guess I never thought I would find myself living in Ohio.
It was a lovely fair, with beautifully styled booths and so much creativity. I am a self-proclaimed history geek, and I loved the setting of this fair as much as the fair itself. I would love to spend an afternoon learning about the history of the buildings.
Ohio is such a charming state. It only makes sense for Country Living to hold an annual event here. I'm already looking forward to next year and the next Country Living Fair.
